Decorative Light Art Installations

Decorative Light Art Installations
Jodie Orange, The Lighting Ninja.

Installing a cluster of decorative lights as a point of interest in a scheme can be surprisingly impactful and take on the same properties as would a painting or sculpture.

This ceiling with hand-carved stars was one of my absolute favourite things I saw during my recent creative retreat in Morocco with Amelia Laura Interior Design; little stars carved out of the stone ceiling of a marble hammam, filled with coloured glass. When the sunlight fills, then penetrates their little bodies, it gives the impression of a multicoloured starry sky.

As I lay on the warm earthy marble block, under that magical sky, having my body and hair washed and coated in local argan oil, I thought back to some of my favourite light cluster installations.
